Happy Wednesday, Tritons! We hope you all had a relaxing holiday break! As you start the Winter quarter and busy yourself with schoolwork, we encourage you to be present and appreciate the people and life around you. Below, you'll find tips and activities to help you de-stress and center yourself, regardless of where you are studying from.

The fair is a part of a two-day event, WellFest (formerly Wellness Symposium), that provides students with opportunities to access resources and tools to define or reassess their wellness goals, and start on a path to a healthier life filled with personal growth beyond academics.
Drop in at our Coloring Calm Workshop on January 25th in the John Muir College Room (Price Center) anytime between 2:00-2:50pm where you will be able to beautify Library coloring pages and Geisel bookmarks while learning about de-stress resources at the Library!

Craving something sweet? Try this peanut butter cookie recipe! |

Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of peanut butter
1 egg
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients until creamy and smooth.
2. Roll out the dough and form into small balls; flatten the dough and make criss-cross patterns on the dough using a fork.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

BLACKTRONIKA: AFROFUTURISM IN ELECTRONIC MUSIC |

This exhibit celebrates and shines a light on the UC San Diego course Blacktronika: Afrofuturism in Electronic Music, which was created by music professor and music industry practitioner, King James Britt. Throughout Winter Quarter 2023, view an assortment of Professor Britt’s exciting course materials, a selection of vintage and current electronica instruments-of-interest, and ephemera associated with Britt’s career and his current research.
Blacktronika: Afrofuturism in Electronic Music is a new UC San Diego lecture course, created by Professor King James Britt, researching and honoring the people of color who have pioneered groundbreaking genres within the electronic music landscape. Genres span from Chicago House, Detroit Techno and Drum & Bass music. Using his position in the industry, the class has been attended by many, including Questlove, Julian Priester and Flying Lotus.
