Happy Wednesday, Tritons! We hope you all had a great start of the quarter! We want to wish you all good luck on your midterm exams. During the winter quarter, we'll share biweekly tips and activities to help you de-stress and center yourself, regardless of where you are tuning in from.

Check out the open reflection and meditation space in Geisel Room 621.
The Calm Cave is meant to be used as a space to retreat from studying, relax, pause, breathe deeply, and clear your mind.
This space incorporates feedback from library users, campus partners, and the Library Student Advisory Council, The lounge furniture and collection of books were selected to help you relax and reflect.

Need a break from studying? Join us outside Classroom 1 (across from the Geisel Library Service Hub) anytime during the event to relax and de-stress by writing letters to the Library or making friendship bracelets!

Join us for a wild-tastic event! Critter Encounters will showcase 5 animal ambassadors from their Wildlife Sanctuary during an upbeat, educational and interactive
presentation at the Library.
Critter Encounters is a non-profit Wildlife Sanctuary and live animal education company providing up-close animal interaction. Animals visiting Geisel Library:

Finley the Fennec Fox
Bertrum the Chinchilla
Ruby the Red-tailed Hawk
Cornelius the Corn Snake

Pick up your pass this February at more than 80 San Diego public libraries and start exploring the fun during San Diego Museum Month with 50% off admission to more than 60 San Diego County museums, historic sites, gardens, zoos, and aquariums.
Your pass can be used for half-off admission four times at any of the museum locations that are part of this program.
Passes are available at libraries and the program begins February 1, 2024.

Ingredients
1 cup (8 ounces) heavy cream
1 pinch of salt
12 ounces of milk or dark chocolate (chips or roughly chopped bar)
Instructions
1. Heat the cream with a pinch of salt over medium heat in a small saucepan until tiny bubbles show and begins to lightly and slowly simmer.
2. Remove from heat, add the chocolate, and whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
3. Transfer the chocolate mix to a fondue pot heated at low or with a low flame, or serve straight from the pot.
